Q: After I log in, I get to the Enter Page, click on the arrow and nothing happens. What do I do?
A: If you are not getting the theme-song page and library, it may mean that your Web browser is not accepting pop-up windows. Try disabling pop-up blockers for onemorestory.com.
Q: What should I do if I get the message "The Library is currently in use for this account"?
A: To ensure your logout from One More Story please close all OMS windows by clicking on the X in the upper right hand corner of the screen (PC) or the red button in the upper left hand corner of the screen (Mac). If you still have trouble, please QUIT THE BROWSER by using a keyboard command (hold down "Control Q" for PC and "Apple Q" for Mac) or by going to File, Quit/Exit.
In the event that you experience a service interruption or a computer crash, and do not have the opportunity to log out properly, please wait 20 minutes for the One More Story system to reset and you should be able to login again.
Please feel free to contact us at problems@onemorestory.com.
Q: How many books will be added to the site?
A: The One More Story library will be continually added to until we reach 108 books.
Q:How do I access the different bookshelves in the library?
A: The various shelves can be accessed by clicking on the colored tabs on the top portion of the screen. The One More Story library contains six book shelves, each of which will eventually hold 18 books.
Q: What is the octagonal red sign on the bottom left of each page?
A: Clicking on this stop sign stops the book you are reading and takes you back to the library page.
Q: How do I change my password?
A: Go to the "Account Information" page on the Parents' Place or Teacher's Place and choose your new password.
Q: How do I allow my child to easily click through to the One More Story site without typing in the URL, username and password?
A: First, go to the Parents' Place section "Place Desktop Icon." Left click on the Bendy icon and drag it to your desktop. The next time you login, check "remember my login." Doing these two things will allow your child to click on the Bendy icon and immediately get to the One More Story site.
Q: How do I turn off the sound to get to the "I Can Read It" mode?
A: After clicking on a green button to read a book, a screen comes up with the cover of that book. On the upper right hand corner of that screen is an "I." Clicking on that "I" turns off the sound track and allows your child to read the book. If there is a word that is unfamiliar to your child, putting the cursor on that word highlights the word. By clicking on that highlighted word, the narrator will say that word.
Q: How come I cannot access certain books in the library?
A: Books that do not display a green button underneath the cover are in production, and are not yet available. As soon as production is complete, a green button will appear underneath that book's cover making it an accessible part of the library. Click on the green button to read that story.
Q: Are the books arranged according to level?
A: The books in the library are NOT arranged according to reading level. One More Story's intention is to empower our readers by allowing them to choose any book from our selection of literature that appeals to them. The corresponding Accelerated Reader levels can be found in the "Book Info" section of the Parents' and Teachers' Place.
Q: How can I tell One More Story about technical problems I am having with the site?
