One More Story is an online library of children’s illustrated books set to music and professionally narrated with the text highlighted as it is read. The following are some ways in which One More Story can help students learn English:

• Our books are all published works of literature. They range in difficulty from books with three word sentences to titles with more mature content and sophisticated vocabulary. For native English speakers, our library contains books appropriate for students between the ages of 3 and 11. Perfect for the beginning English language student.
• Presently, there are 67 books in the library with new titles being added regularly. These books are narrated by approximately 30 professional narrators. The variety of voices is excellent for training the ear. Hearing the stories helps non-native English speakers in pronunciation, intonation, phrasing and fluency.
• The text is highlighted as each word is spoken.
• Our current books contain over 4400 distinct words, a very robust English vocabulary.
• The I Can Read It Mode mutes soundtrack and narration so students can read a story independently. He or she can click on a difficult or unfamiliar word to hear it pronounced aloud by the narrator. A single word can be clicked on numerous times to master pronunciation.
• Echo Reading is a feature within the I Can Read It mode that encourages development of phrasing, intonation and fluency. Students click on the “E” icon, which plays the entire passage aloud, allowing him or her to echo the pronunciation and phrasing of the narrator.
• Whatever is said in the text is depicted in the illustrations increasing vocabulary and comprehension.
• With the Listening Game, One More Story poses questions to assess the student’s comprehension of the narrative elements and vocabulary presented in a story.
