Claire A. Nivola author, illustrator
Born in New York City to parents who were both artists, Claire A. Nivola followed in her parents' footsteps, illustrating her first picture book in 1970 before stepping out of the professional world to raise her children. In 1994 with her children grown, she continued where she left off, collaborating with author Betty Jean Lifton on several books as well as other well-known authors like Amy Hest. In recent years, she has branched into authoring books as well.
