Clare Beaton illustrator
A lifelong resident of North London, Clare Beaton began her career as an illustrator for the BBC's children's programs. Later on, she translated her love of folk art into a career as a very unique children's book illustrator. Rather than painting or drawing her illustrations, Beaton uses felt, buttons and other fabrics and then stitches and cuts them together into tactile, three dimensional works.
