Martha Alexander author, illustrator
"Almost all of my books are involved with some feeling of a child—being small, or being left out," explains author Martha Alexander. Best known perhaps for her Blackboard Bear books, Alexander was born in Georgia. She attended the Cincinnati Academy of Art, and lived all across the United States. She had two children, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
